Huntington Beach, CA – Orange County Children's Theatre (OCCT) is excited to bring a teen favorite musical back to the stage. Disney's High School Musical is energetic, up beat, and sure to have audiences dancing in their seats and leave with not only a good message, but fun memories too. High School Musical is directed by Kaitlyn Tice (pictured on right) who is returning after her very successful production last summer of Shrek The Musical (2016).
Joining Kaitlyn Tice on her creative team is Lauren Ross ( center) - Choreography, and Michelle Hernandez ( left ) - Vocal. They make a great team and will undoubtedly inspire the cast to do great things on stage. This creative team is a great fit with OCCT partly due their being in OCCT as kids themselves. They understand the importance of instilling in the kids a strong work ethic and always pushing to be better. Kids are encouraged to be themselves and to respect others.
High School Musical stars Garrett Sharland as Troy Bolton and Kayla Quiroz as Gabriella Montez. Noelle Howe and Jack Borenstein play the dramatic siblings Sharpay and Ryan Evans. Francesca Lemus portrays Taylor McKessie and Chad Danforth is played by Gustavo Villalobos. There are 74 in the cast, nine of which are Telegrammers, the youngest members of the cast who wow the audience with their song, dance, and amazing cuteness before the show and intermission.

Founded in 1969, we are the oldest, continuous running children’s theatre in Orange County, open to young people from age 5 – 19. We are very proud of our children. Many have moved on to professional careers in the theater, while others have become leaders in business and their communities. Through the auditions process, we welcome children from all social and economic backgrounds. While we’re dedicated to training each child in the crafts, and skills required for the theatre, paramount importance is placed on the development of each child’s self esteem, and feeling of belonging at this theater. Family values are always encouraged, by example, from the staff of volunteers, giving so generously of their time.
